LEGALASSISTNI

LEGALASSISTNI is a Northern Ireland based legal consultancy company established in response to the forthcoming Statutory Registration Scheme for Providers of Publicly Funded Legal Services ('the Scheme') - or register for legal professionals who undertake legal aid  work. The Scheme is being introduced by the Department of Justice for Northern Ireland ('the Department') along with the Legal Services Agency of Northern Ireland ('the Agency'). It is deemed 'necessary to ensure that those who receive public funding for the delivery of legal services provide the appropriate level and quality of service to their clients and the public purse' (Department of Justice targeted consultation document, February 2017).
The purpose of
LEGALASSISTNI is to educate the Northern Irish solicitor profession on the particulars of the Scheme and how it will work for them in practice. We also offer advice and guidance on the preparations required in your business, the actual registration process, as well as assistance with compliance audits.
